I have never studied design and it's taken me many years to get to the point where I know exactly what feel I want to create in my home. Besides having a fun place to entertain both family and friends, I want to create a sanctuary within the chaos of a busy family. Without knowing or realizing it over the years I had bought items that I love but at the same time evoke that feeling for me. I grabbed a few to take a photo of them, but even as I'm sitting at my desk typing this my eye is gravitating to so many other items in front of me that didn't make it into the photo but should have. I think another photo shoot for tomorrow is in order! As I put these items together it makes me smile and it's where I draw my inspiration.
Thula is a Zulu word that means hush, calm, be quiet. I hope to inspire you to create a home for your family that whispers "thula" to all who enter.

What I love
